Tottenham continue marvellous record against Brentford
Tottenham Hotspur is the third-best team to have registered goals in consecutive Premier League games in history, per Squawka’s X post. They are behind Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool.
Arsenal lead the chart with 55 games where they have found the net. The rampage ran between 2001 and 2002. Manchester United and Liverpool are placed second, by a considerable margin though, with 36 games. Spurs, with 34 games, are right behind them.
Considering their current form, Tottenham Hotspur are expected to topple their immediate competitors. The Lilywhites have scored in every game after Ange Postecoglou took over. The 3-2 win against Brentford has helped the North Londoners grab a position on the coveted list.
Their biggest win came against Newcastle United where Ange’s side slaughtered the Magpies by 4-1. Their biggest loss reflects the same scoreline, that came against rivals Chelsea. However, Spurs did manage to score one before bowing out for good.
A force to reckon with
Tottenham fans wanted entertainment and that’s just what’s being served under their new boss. Ange Postecoglou has transformed the club into a goal-scoring machine. Only Liverpool and Manchester City have scored more goals (51) than Tottenham (47) this season.
Not to forget, the club achieved this feat despite the exit of their prolific scorer Harry Kane. Additionally, they also spent a considerable amount of time without their main players on the field. James Maddison was injured for nearly three months and Son is away, fulfilling international duty.
Postecoglou has shown that his side is not dependent on individuals but functions as a unit. Their goal-scoring exploits also handed them their best start to the campaign in ages. The former Celtic man depends on his midfielders to build the play and Richarlison’s newfound form is the cherry on top.
