Tottenham Hotspur are targetting Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth
Tottenham Hotspur are readying themselves to sign Dominic Solanke from AFC Bournemouth, per The Express. The deadline day is expected to bring surprising news all around and Spurs had to be a part of it.
The former Liverpool man is in scintillating form this season with 12 goals and one assist from 20 Premier League games this season. His goal-scoring exploits seem to have given Ange some hope of finding a replacement for Harry Kane.
Good form evaded Solanke during his Liverpool days and earlier Bournemouth days. The England man was instrumental in placing The Cherries back in the Premier League. He now is the third top scorer in the Premier League behind Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah.
According to The Sun, Spurs are ready to jump in for the former Liverpool forward £50 million before the window shuts close. The move should also bolster Ange Postecoglou’s attacking unit.
The face-off between the two parties
It is to be learned that AFC Bournemouth have been fending off offers from clubs to retain their starman. They are already looking at potential replacements in the French and Belgian leagues, should Tottenham come knocking with a mouth-watering offer.
Ange Postecoglou’s squadron looks well-sorted in terms of attacking. Timo Werner has found his place in the starting XI right away. Then there is Richarlison who has found his form for the first time in North London.
The club has also learned that Rodrigo Bentancur, Dejan Kulusevski, Brennan Johnson, Hojbjerg, Lo Celso, and Bryan Gil are trusted aid, should a situation arise. The Aussie manager will also have Heung-min Son, Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr back from national duties soon.
