Brentford are yet to decide on what to do regarding Tottenham Hotspur target Antonio Nusa
There is still hope for Tottenham Hotspur as Brentford are yet to take a final stance on the Antonio Nusa scenario, per Belgian media outlet Het Nieuwsblad. The €37million deal was on hold after a few concerns that arose during Nusa’s medical at Brentford.
The Bees did ask for clarification from Club Brugge and the Norwegian Football Federation. There is no solid news surrounding the concerned parties over the Nusa deal. However, as mentioned earlier, Brentford are yet to give it a green signal to have the prodigy by their side.
The dilemma has given new hope to Tottenham Hotspur. The North Londoners were pursuing the youngster for almost the entire transfer period but faced a shocking snub from the Club Brugge star’s end.
Ange Postecoglou would still want the 18-year-old winger to fortify his attacking unit. The club has started investing in youngsters now more than ever. Chasing Arthur Vermeeren and Antonio Nusa is a testament to the same.
The ‘big picture’ for Ange
Ange is building a squad with a long-term plan. His goal isn’t limited to securing one of the top-four positions. Postecoglou’s strategies and his purchases reflect his long-term goals.
It includes adding Radu Dragusin to an already-stacked defensive lineup and onboarding Timo Werner with the impending return of Heung-min Son in the same position. The pursuit of another dangerman on the left flank, Antonio Nusa, is another Ange tactic to secure the club in the long run.
Tottenham fans have been devoid of ‘entertainment’ for the longest period. The arrival of the Aussie is giving them just what they wanted. Should the former boss secure Antonio Nusa, the club will welcome a long-term prospect.
