Tottenham Hotspur looking to sign Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo in the summer
According to the Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Tottenham Hotspur wants to sign the Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo to help the team bolster the defensive area.
It’s evident that Spurs could benefit from fortifying their defensive units with added depth, making the 26-year-old a promising prospect who can seamlessly assimilate into the team as an integral player. A chance to play for Spurs would certainly be attractive, especially if we secure a spot in next season’s Champions League. Looking at the current state of affairs, it seems entirely feasible that we can indeed qualify for the next season. The key will be maintaining consistency until the season ends.
The prospect of acquiring a player with such quality and experience without paying a transfer fee is incredible for us. Adarabioyo could develop into a crucial player for Spurs’ campaign in the upcoming season. Having made a name for himself in the Premier League, his presence could prove invaluable in the long run.
Since Tosin’s departure from Manchester City to Fulham in 2020, he has amassed an impressive total of 123 appearances for the club. However, his time at Fulham has been marked by both victories and setbacks, including the unfortunate relegation from the Premier League. He has also missed 11 Premier League matches due to a surgical groin injury.
At Tottenham, we already boast a formidable defensive lineup, including Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, and January signing Radu Dragusin. Given this competition, Adarabioyo may encounter challenges in securing consistent playing opportunities.
Despite this, Adarabioyo’s performances have earned praise from both fans and management. Keeping him for the future could propel Fulham to new heights. However, Tottenham’s interest in the player has added uncertainty to the situation. Add to it the fact that his contract expires in the summer and it is clear to see why Spurs are sniffing around. After all, Daniel Levby loves a bargain.
