Hugo Lloris says Ange Postecoglou has achieved a lot within a short time
Former Tottenham Hotspur captain and long-term player Hugo Lloris appreciates what Ange Postecoglou has done at the club, per Football London (h/t Sky Sports). The French shot-stopper was unfortunate to not play under his new boss even once.
Despite being out of favour, Hugo Lloris got to train with the first team daily and also attend the team meetings. He reflected on Ange’s views, methods and philosophy. Lloris also added that he isn’t surprised by what the new boss has achieved. He added:
“Ange has made a huge impact in a short time, we all want to see what is the limit of this team. Success cannot be built in a few months or a year but they are going in the right direction.”
The 37-year-old will be joining LAFC to start his new journey at MLS. The former captain leaves Tottenham after spending 11 years as a player and six months as a spectator.
Modern problems, modern solutions
Lloris was expected to move out of the club in the summer but the club couldn’t find worthy suitors. The former Celtic boss was handed a team that freshly lost two of their senior-most players and captains Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris. The Aussie brought Guglielmo Vicario which turns out to be quite a smart move.
Harry Kane’s position was handed to Richarlison and the leadership responsibility has been passed out to Heung-min Son. So far, all these are yielding results for the North London outfits. In short, Ange Postecoglou’s arrival changed the dynamics of the club.
The Lilywhites boss has proven that he has solutions for all the problems. Postecoglou is under a major team-building process to secure Spurs’ future. He is also sending his scouts to less explored markets, particularly Scandinavia for talented prodigies.
