Tottenham star Destiny Udogie likens James Maddison to Harry Potter
Taking the Englishman’s Harry Potter fandom a notch further, Tottenham left-back Destiny Udogie compared James Maddison to the Hogwarts Graduate. Sitting alongside Guglielmo Vicario, Udogie and the shot-stopper talked about what characters the players are after a Twitter user likened Vicario to Venom, of Spiderman fame.
Udogie called himself The Incredible Hulk because of his strength and pace. Son Heung-min saw himself compared to Forrest Gump before agreeing with Vic on the skipper being Superman. Pedro Porro was called Zorro and Madders became Harry Potter in what was a fun shoot for the club’s official YouTube channel.
Indeed, Madders is Harry Potter. Calling him HP is a right fit thanks to the magic he produces on the pitch. He is a big-time Harry Potter fan as well. In an injury-laid debut campaign for Spurs, Maddison has three goals and seven assists in 17 appearances across all competitions.
Well in, Madders!
Maddison’s portrayal as Harry Potter in this light-hearted exchange perfectly encapsulated his flair and creativity on the field. Despite facing challenges in his debut season at Tottenham, Maddison has proven to be a formidable asset. His ability to weave spells of brilliance on the pitch, coupled with his infectious enthusiasm for the magical realm of Harry Potter, has endeared him to supporters and teammates alike.
The comparison also highlights the sense of camaraderie within the Tottenham squad, with players bonding over shared interests and injecting humour into their interactions. Such moments not only foster team spirit but also create a sense of connection with fans, who revel in the playful banter between their favourite players.
Maddison’s association with Harry Potter adds an extra layer of excitement and anticipation every time he takes to the field, as fans eagerly await the next chapter in his magical journey with Tottenham. In fact, he also has a tattoo displaying his affection for Harry Potter.
