Tottenham Hotspur set to extend Callum Olusesi contract
Acquisition of high-potential talent is an important part of Tottenham’s transfer policy off late, though it is more important to hold on to the talents already at Hotspur Way.
Who doesn’t love a midfielder who can chip in with a few goals and assists, and Callum Olusesi is one of those budding midfielders at Tottenham Hotspur academy who can contribute goalward every now and then.
The 17-year-old has started eighteen games in the FA Youth Cup and U18 Premier League this season, boasting an aggregate of eight goals and four assists.
According to a tweet by Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the Lilywhites have fended off interest from multiple clubs to extend Callum Olusesi’s stay at N17. He did pen down a scholarship agreement with Tottenham in July last year but Callum is now set to sign his first professional contract soon as he turns 17 today.
Callum Olusesi has also been representing England at under-17 level having made seven appearances and scoring twice for the Three Lions.
Considering the talent that Olusesi possesses, it comes as no surprise that Spurs want to tie him down to the club. Ange Postecoglou is likely to already have a progression pass in mind.
