Alfie Whiteman says Harry Kane is the greatest Tottenham Hotspur player of all time
Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman hails Harry Kane in the Tottenham Hotspur podcast. The 25-year-old was in conversation with Michael Dawson and Paul Miles on episode 27. He was asked who is the greatest Spurs player of all time by Paul Miles. Whiteman responded:
“I mean, it’s difficult not to say Harry Kane. It is no surprise that he is one of the best in the world because of the dedication.”
The Tottenham shot-stopper also reminisced on training sessions with the former Spurs skipper. He especially recalled the penalty session and claims to be the keeper to have faced most of Harry Kane’s penalties.
Paul Miles joined the trip down memory lane and spoke about Harry Kane’s weird penalty training session where the England striker used to hit the same spot 20 times. He also recalled how Kane recreated the same the very next day, during a Premier League game and scored.
The big loss from both ends
Harry Kane was tipped to retire at north London as the club’s greatest player of all time. Not to forget, also the biggest underachiever. However, the ex-captain of the Lilywhites left for Bayern Munich in an attempt to add silver shine to his glittering career.
The move came as a shocker for the football world. Nevertheless, Harry Kane will probably have to wait until next season to add his first career trophy as Bayern Munich are outclassed by rivals in every competition thus far.
His absence was expected to gravely hurt Tottenham’s attacking unit but thanks to Ange Postecoglou, the club is doing better than ever. But that doesn’t stop the fans from imagining what if Kane got to play under the Aussie man. The duo would have certainly set the Premier League on fire.
