Dejan Kulusevski says emphasizes Ange Postecoglou’s significance in the Tottenham dressing room
Tottenham Hotspur star Dejan Kulusevski hails the importance of Ange Postecoglou’s presence in the club. The Swedish player was speaking on the Players’ Tribune Football channel’s To Dare Is To Do segment. The Players’ Tribune is a media platform that helps athletes connect with their fans via personal stories.
Speaking to the media platform, the former Juventus man opened up about Ange Postecoglou’s influence over the club. He said:
“Having him (Ange) so grateful, learning so much from him and every time he speaks, everybody listens. He can speak for one hour and it’s just fun and you learn.”
Kulusevski also mentioned how the Tottenham Hotspur head coach urges the team to be themselves regardless of the outcome. From his words, it is evident that Postecoglou’s relationship with his players is one of the biggest reasons behind the club’s improved performance.
After a series of downtimes, the north London outfits are battling for the fourth place in the Premier League table currently.
The ‘Ange’ effect
Tottenham enjoy their inclusion in the Premier League’s ‘Bix Six’ but have not quite lived up to the billing. The club has been trophyless for quite a long time. However, they did come closer than ever at the starting stage of the ongoing season.
The N17 residents enjoyed the pinnacle position after the first 10 games and were also unbeaten. A series of injuries and suspensions cut their dream journey short in November. Many appreciate Ange Postecoglou’s men despite them falling out of favour for the title race.
The former Celtic boss’ ‘high-line’ style of play has earned appreciation and also concerns from around the football world. The strategy has helped Tottenham become one of England’s most powerful attacking units this season.
