Three-time World Champion Max Verstappen is Timo Werner’s favourite F1 driver
Tottenham Hotspur‘s January arrival Timo Werner provides interesting answers in the ‘Ask Me Anything’ segment on Premier League’s official Instagram handle. The RB Leipzig loanee went through a series of quick-fire questions to help the fans know him better.
The social media admin asked Werner who was his favourite F1 driver. Timo was quick to answer ‘Max Verstappen’. Werner’s love affair with F1 is widely known as he has witnessed several races from the paddock itself.
The ‘Red Bull’ tag is common between Werner, who plays for ‘RB’ Lepzeig and three-time world champion Max Verstappen, who drives for ‘RB’ racing. Chelsea News published an article last year highlighting Werner’s ardent liking for Formula 1.
He revealed he wishes to attend every race to watch Red Bull in a calendar year after he retires. Timo Werner also spoke about his craze for Fortnite (which isn’t quite the same anymore) and also about his ‘hidden talent’.
Werner is in a race by himself
While the former Chelsea man spoke about his favourite racecar driver, the football world acknowledges a personal race that Werner is involved in. He arrived in north London on loan with an option to make the move permanent.
Werner’s trip to Tottenham was a part of Ange Postecoglou’s temporary modifications to the team that was dealing with the absence of several first-team players. He broke into the starting XI right away, unlike fellow January arrival, Radu Dragusin.
The 28-year-old has two assists and two goals for Tottenham from seven Premier League games. He scored in back-to-back games and the second one, against Villa, came despite his three-minute cameo.

Many tipped Ange to offload Werner back to Germany once the loan tenure expires. However, by the looks of it, the Tottenham manager is highly likely to retain the forward. His experience can serve as a great example for the youngsters to learn.
