Barcelona starlet Mika Faye on Tottenham Hotspur’s Radar

Tottenham Hotspur are pursuing youngsters with high potential that they can nurture in accordance with the structure at place in N17 and reap long-term benefits, as Barcelona starlet Mika Faye has been among the target list that Daniel Levy is expected to pursue this summer.

La Masia is turning out to be a saviour for Barcelona once again, as multiple academy prospects have stepped up at Camp Nou despite the financial crisis that the club is going through. One of those highly rated prospects that may have a big future is Mika Faye although he technically did not come through the ranks at La Masia.

The Catalonia-based club have a plethora of centre-backs at their disposal with Pau Cubarsí being the latest to claim his chances for the first-team. Another centre-back coming up could be Mika Faye, who is having a great season with their reserve team.

Mika Faye has already been part of Xavi Hernandez’s squad roster but hasn’t had the opportunity to make his debut for the club yet. He was part of the squad in Barcelona’s game against Mallorca.

However, that has not made European clubs shy of pursuing an interest in Mika Faye. Alongside Tottenham Hotspur, Girona, Nice and Lens have been looking to sign Mika.

The La Masia graduate has a contract with the Spanish club for four seasons and has a termination clause of 400 million euros in his contract.

Barcelona would want to bet long on bet on Pau Cubarsí and Araujo with Koundé, Christensen and íñigo Martínez also on their roster. The Catalonia-based club also have Lenglet and Eric Garcia who are scheduled to return from their loan in the summer while they target a possible move to bring back Chadi Riad.
