Sam Vokes speaks on Tottenham star, Johnson who has been impressive for the Wales national team
Tottenham Hotspur star, Brennan Johnson has been very impressive for the Spurs this season. He has also made an impact on the Wales national team as he scored minutes before halftime during their last outing.
Finland were looking dangerous and were about to start coming back. However, 22-year-old Johnson struck true to make it 3-1 for Wales. Here’s what Sam Voke had to say about his performance while speaking to BBC.
“Brennan Johnson won’t believe his luck, his eyes must have lit up when he saw the ball coming towards him.”
The 22-year-old has also been impressive for the Lilywhites this season. In 28 appearances, Brennan Johnson has recorded four goals and six assists for Tottenham Hotspur. The Wales winger stepped up when the team needed him most.
He played a key role on the team as they pushed for a top spot in the Premier League despite their injury struggles during the first half of the season. The fans are also sold on Brennan because of his usual comparison with Gareth Bale.
Both players rose to stardom with the Lilywhites and hailed from Wales. Now, Bale is a Tottenham icon and a lot of people expect the 22-year-old to follow in his footsteps.
Johnson has the potential to reach the same heights as his Wales senior. However, he is still young and needs more time on the pitch before he’s ready to take over.
