Postecoglou has affirmed that the club’s plans for the summer window remain unchanged, regardless of their final league position.
Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has shed light on Tottenham’s transfer strategy for the upcoming window, revealing insights on the club’s early business plans.
Romano outlines Tottenham’s summer plans
Speaking on the Spurs Chat Podcast, Romano disclosed that Tottenham aims to conduct early transfer dealings, similar to previous windows, with the potential arrival of 3 to 4 new players on the cards.
Romano outlined the club’s priorities for recruitment, highlighting the pursuit of a winger as a top priority.
He emphasised the club’s keen interest in bolstering creativity in wide positions, aiming to add depth to their attacking options.
Additionally, Romano hinted at midfield reinforcement, with a focus on addressing the midfield role which is expected to be left vacant by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The club is also exploring options to strengthen their defensive lineup, as per Postecoglou’s openness to adding another defender to the squad.
He said, “Tottenham’s mission is to get business done as early as possible this summer for the majority of the names they have in mind and positions they want to cover. I think we could see around 3 or 4 signings for Tottenham.”
“It is going to be a creative player in terms of winger, so one more player to be added in that position. That is going to be one of the priorities for the summer for Tottenham. They are deeply exploring the market for a winger.”
“Then they will be visiting the midfield because there is the position of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg…”
“Ange Postecoglou was also quite open in the public about the possibility of adding one more defender to the squad.”
