Tottenham snap losing streak with win but injury woes continue.

Micky van de Ven’s memorable first goal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Tottenham Hotspur claimed all three points at the weekend against Nottingham Forest, thanks to second-half goals from Micky van de Ven and Pedro Porro.

It was a game that the Spurs were expected to win as they took the wheel for a traditional top-four finish. Ange Postecoglou & Co. got on the scoresheet early yet again through a Murillo own goal, though it was cancelled out when Chris Wood was on target inside the opening thirty minutes. In the second half, Micky van de Ven found the back of the net alongside a placed finish from Pedro Porro.

Thunderbolt of a strike by VDV

While Tottenham are expected to win these games and it’s got to be just another outing, it was a memorable one for Micky van de Ven. Scoring your first goal at home is always something that stays with you for a long time, and it was a spectacle of a strike.

Brennan Johnson is in the box with the ball surrounded by bodies. He picks out Son on the edge of the box, who is being rushed out by the defenders, as he lays one along to the Dutchman, who strikes a wonderful goal straight into the top corner.

You remember these sorts of goals for a while, and more so when it’s your first at home for Tottenham Hotspur. The former Wolfsburg star took to Instagram to acknowledge his feelings after the game while insisting it was a memorable night, as the post with a video of the goal was captioned, “A night I’ll never forget 😮‍💨.”
