Tottenham Hotspur star, Guglielmo Vicario shares a wholesome moment with team mascots
Tottenham Hotspur took to Instagram to share a wholesome video of their star, Guglielmo Vicario. The Italian goalkeeper was spotted running through the tunnel and high-fiving all the Spurs’ mascots along the way.
All the kids had wide smiles on their once and one young boy was smiling gleefully as he exclaimed “he said hello!”. Vicario is slowly becoming a fan favourite with the Lilywhites. This is a statement many people might not have believed when it was first signed.
The 27-year-old was signed as a potential replacement for long-time goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris. The French star left the club after more than a decade of service. He is currently playing in goal in the MLS for Los Angeles FC.
Meanwhile, Vicario has stepped into his shoes and has been stellar for the Lilywhites. The 27-year-old has made 33 appearances this season maintaining a total of seven clean sheets. He has also only conceded 46 goals this season.
While these numbers may not be world-class no one can deny that Vicario gets the job done. He also plays out from the back sometimes and is very precise with his passes. The Spurs have found themselves an amazing talent.
What’s even more impressive is the fact that Tottenham only paid £17.2m for Vicario. He has the Spurs’ DNA and will continue to be an integral part of the squad as time goes on.

It’ll be interesting to see how Guglielmo fares during his second season at the club. While most stars fumble during their sophomore year, Vicario might very well be an exception.
