24-goal Eredivisie star who both Arsenal and Tottenham are targeting has been contacted by ‘several clubs’ says Rudy Galleti. The 22-year-old has been sensational this season recording 30 G/A in 38 appearances.
It is being reported that a lot of clubs in Europe wish to sign the player. So, both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal will face no shortage of competition for the signature of 22-year-old Gimenez.
Feyenoord are currently second in the race for the Eredivisie title. The Mexican striker’s contributions have surely played no small part in their run to the top two. The Dutch side will surely not be accepting any cheap proposals for such an important player.
Moreover, Gimenez is doing all of this at such a young age. The 22-year-old has all the time in the world to improve and a move to the big leagues will accelerate the process. Tottenham must do all they can if they wish to sign the Mexican.
He has also been involved in European competitions this season so will likely opt for a team that gives him opportunities to play in them. The Spurs are currently fourth in the Premier League and are on pace to qualify for UCL next season.
However, a lot could change over the coming weeks since they are only ahead of West Ham because of GD. On the other hand, Mikel Arteta and his Arsenal can’t promise a starting spot to Gimenez so the 22-year-old will likely not opt for them.
