No binge-watching for this boss, Postecoglou snubs Tottenham documentary
Ange Postecoglou insists that it is highly unlikely that he would sit down and watch the recent documentary about Tottenham Hotspur (via. Football. London).
Netflix and Amazon Prime have done a brilliant job of ensuring that a documentary behind the scenes of the clubs has become an ordinary expectation for fans. It helps the supporters connect with players, the club, and the actuals of what goes on.
Manchester City recently dropped a Netflix documentary, and other clubs like Arsenal, Newcastle United, Sunderland, and Spurs have at some point partnered with entertainment giants to produce such documentaries.
The Lilywhites released an all-or-nothing season when Jose Mourinho took charge of the club and Mauricio Pochettino parted ways with the North Londoners. It was a popular viewing for football fans in general, and you could still find a clip or two of Mourinho doing Mourinho things behind the scenes at Hotspur Way when you scroll through Twitter.
Gimme football, Not fiction: Postecoglou shares documentary viewing habits
Ange Postecoglou was asked whether he prefers viewing a documented season or football on the fly, as the Australian gaffer admitted watching Netflix’s hit Sunderland ‘Til I Die.
“Nah. Look, I’ve probably watched… I think I watched Sunderland ’Til I Die. It was good,” he admitted.
However, when he was asked about viewing Tottenham Hotspur All or Nothing, he was quick to deny that and claim that those documentaries feel manufactured, and he also buffed away any possible documentary during his time at the club.
“Nah, because I just think it becomes a bit manufactured. I’d be very surprised if you get a real sort of glance. Look, who am I to say, I’m no movie critic. Maybe people like them, but not for me. I love documentaries, but nah,” said the Spurs gaffer.
“Nah, unless you want a cure for insomnia, mate. Put it on late at night and dream yourself away.”

Netflix and Amazon Prime have a way of making it movie-esque, though it is a great opportunity to connect with fans who stand and support the club day and night. These documents give them a chance to have a look at things behind the scenes.
That being said, Ange is not a fan, and any chances of another Tottenham documentary look bleak in the near future.
