Tottenham target Mohamed Amoura and his impressive form sparks transfer frenzy
Tottenham Hotspur are expressing interest in bringing Union Saint-Gilloise striker Mohamed Amoura to North London in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Spurs are yet to replace Harry Kane at N17, who left for Bayern Munich in a €100 million (£86m/$108m) move last summer. They are said to have kept sufficient funds aside to sign a marquee striker this summer. Although it would not be the wisest thing to put all eggs in one basket, Spurs is looking at multiple high-potential options that can act as a back-up in the central-forward role next season.
Mohamed El Amine Amoura is said to be on the Spurs list, as per GIVEMESPORT. However, Tottenham would face competition from multiple clubs for his services, as the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham are also vying for a possible move for the 23-year-old.
The Premier League trio have checked out the Algerian striker, who is enjoying a brilliant season with Belgian Pro League outfit Union Saint-Gilloise after scoring 22 goals and further laying 6 assists in 39 games in all competition for the Brussels-based side.
Any move for the striker will demand considerable funds, as he has a contract at Stade Joseph Marien until 2027. Alongside the Premiership interests, Amoura is also being watched by clubs in France and Germany, and his goal-scoring prowess is being noticed.
Although at the moment it is still unclear whether Tottenham will win the race for the star, he is extremely prolific and would add a new dimension to our squad.
