Leeds United keen on a permanent deal for Tottenham Hotspur loanee Joe Rodon

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to offload Joe Rodon on a permanent transfer in the summer, per Football Insider.

Football Insider senior journalist Pete O’Rourke, speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, revealed that his current temporary employer Leeds United would ‘love’ to bring the 26-year-old in the summer transfer window.

Joe Rodon has been on a season-long loan at Elland Road for the 2023–24 campaign, where he has made 44 appearances this season. He has made 40 appearances in the Championship, with an additional four in the FA Cup.

There were reports last month that claimed that the Lilywhites are ready to let the center-back join the Whites permanently this summer if their asking price of £10–15 million is met.

Putting this into context, the Wales international has already featured more for Leeds United than for Tottenham Hotspur, where he has only made 24 appearances since signing from Swansea City in 2020 for an initial £11m rising to £15m subject to add ones.

His time at Leeds United is his second spell away from North London after his time at French outfit Rennes.

Pete O’Rourke goes on to explain how Joe Rodon has managed to get undisputed status in Daniel Farke’s Leeds United. He has had a very good season in the English second tier and has been an ever-present figure in the Leeds defence.

More Tottenham Hotspur News:

Following a superb start to the season at Elland Road, Leeds United have now slipped to third in the championship as they continue their bid for promotion. They are one point behind Leicester City in second and two behind Ipswich Town. Daniel Farke’s side is now without a win in three successive games.

For Tottenham Hotspur, Joe Rondon’s display at Leeds United assures they can reclaim as much transfer fees as they can from his departure as Daniel Levy & Co. priorities bring level-raising players to the Ange Postecoglou roster.
