No more niggles? Richarlison targets Arsenal clash after gym session
Tottenham Hotspur ace Richarlison has taken to social media to post his progress as he continues his process to come back from a knee injury.
Richarlison last started for the Lilywhites in a 2-1 loss to Wolves over a month ago, as the Brazilian striker has missed the last two games for the North Londoners owing to knee problems, i.e., against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest. The former Everton ace also started his last three games from the bench owing to the knock before the club pulled the plug. While his time on the sidelines is just a precaution to avoid wider injury problems, Richy is expected to be back in Spurs colours soon.
The injury is not considered serious, as the North Londoners boss indicated in his pre-game press conference against Nottingham Forest. Ange insisted Richy would miss the game with “a bit of a niggle” in his knee; it is not serious.
The 26-year-old is expected to be back for the N17-based side for their next game when they take on North London rivals Arsenal next weekend.
Emerson Royal supports Richarlison as Spurs star eyes speedy recovery
His presence upfront for the Spurs has been critical, both aerially and in buildups. Richy was unstoppable before his off-the-field injury problems took over a fantastic start to the season, as he has done an excellent job of bearing the goal-scoring weight on his shoulders. Whenever he has been available, Richarlison has been a menace to be dealt with.
What comes as a massive relief for Tottenham fans worldwide would be his recent update, which indicates he has started gym work in progress to eventually return to the fold.
Richarlison’s countryman, who is also a teammate at Tottenham, Emerson Royal, replied to the post with a three-biceps emoji, indicating his strength and support as the 26-year-old nears a return to the first team.
