From N17 to Bernabéu Legend as Luka Modric confirms he still follows Spurs
Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has come out to admit that he still keeps close tabs on the Premier League and especially his former employers, Tottenham Hotspur.
The 38-year-old got his initial fame playing for the North Londoners after moving to the Lilywhites from Dinamo Zagreb in 2008, as he eventually developed into one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. The Croat has not looked back since, as he earned a transfer to Real Madrid following four years at N17.
Modric swapped North London for the Spanish capital in 2012 and went on to win five Champions League titles for the Los Blancos. He will surely be remembered as one of the best players of the modern era after winning the prestigious Ballon d’Or in 2018. He continues to perform at an elite level at the age of 38 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Croatian World Cup finalist went on to admit that the time that he spent at White Hart Lane played a critical role in making him the player that he went to be for Real Madrid, and when quizzed whether he still follows the English top tier, the 38-year-old said, via. Optus Sport:
“When you leave the Premier League, you don’t just stop following it. So, I follow the league, especially the teams with Croatian players. And, of course, I still follow Tottenham.”

Modric played some outstanding football during his time at Tottenham, and his development earned him a move to Real Madrid. He would undoubtedly remember his time at White Hart Lane with fond memories and nostalgia.
