Tottenham skipper Son Heung-min sole club representative in EAFC 24 TOTS
Despite our above-average season so far, EAFC 24 features only one Tottenham Hotspur player in their Premier League Team of the Season, and no brownie points to guess who that is. Skipper Son Heung-min is the sole Spurs player on the list of 20 players on the EAFC TOTS.
The 31-year-old left-winger is rightly a part of the squad. In 30 league games this season, he has scored 16 goals and has nine assists to boot as well. Although we are very happy to see him on the list, a bunch of more Spurs players could have made the team.
Cristian Romero, James Maddison, Pedro Porro and even Destiny Udogie have had a good Premier League season and for a Spurs fan, it is rather sad that we have only one player in Son on there. Here is the team via EA Sports FC’s Twitter account.
The list of players includes Erling Haaland, Virgil van Dijk, Rodri, Declan Rice, Mohamed Salah, Bukayo Saka, Sonny of course, Cole Palmer, Phil Foden, Alisson Becker, William Saliba, Ollie Watkins, Alexis Mac Allister, Gabriel Magalhaes, Ben White, Kevin de Bruyne, Luis Diaz, Christopher Nkunku, Alejandro Garnacho and Pervis Estupinan.
You take a gander at the list, and you’re left scratching your head. I mean, sure, Erling Haaland, Virgil van Dijk, and Mo Salah – they’re no-brainers. But some of the other names? Not so sure. Christopher Nkunku gets the nod, but our boys miss out? Seems a bit off, no?
Maybe it’s not just about the numbers – goals and assists – but about the impact on the pitch. And yeah, Sonny’s impact is undeniable. But so is Maddison’s creativity, Romero’s defensive prowess, and Porro’s all-action displays. And let’s not forget about Udogie’s breakthrough season. They’ve all brought something special to the table, something worthy of recognition.
At the end of the day, though, it’s just a list, isn’t it? Doesn’t change what our boys have achieved this season. Sonny’s still our main man, our hero. And the others? Well, they’ve still got plenty of years ahead of them to make their mark. So yeah, it stings a bit not seeing more Spurs players on that list, but let’s not dwell on it too much.

We’ve got other battles to focus on, and we know our boys will always give it their all, whether they’re on some game or not. It is disheartening to lose to Arsenal in the NLD, but hey, we gave a good fight to potential league winners. Don’t even ask how much it hurts to say that.
