Djed Spence impresses in Italy while Liverpool target new winger

The Reds prepare for a future without Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool FC have been subject to links with Leeds United youngster Crysencio Summerville, who has acknowledged Tottenham Hotspur loanee following his impressing performances in Italian football.

Crysencio Summerville has been enjoying a magnificent season in the Championship with Leeds United, as he has not only clinched the Player of the Season award at Elland Road, but his 20 goals and 10 assists could help the Whites come back into the Premier League. The Dutch sensation has a value of around £40 million as Liverpool vie for his services this summer.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano spoke about Summerville and the probable rumors about Liverpool while shedding light on the Merseyside Reds’ scouting efforts on his ‘Here We Go Podcast’:

“Centre-back — they will sign a player in that position. Then, look at some opportunities for offensive players and talented players. What I am hearing is true: Summerville at Leeds United is one of the players they are monitoring.”

Liverpool are looking to sign the 22-year-old Dutchman Summerville; however, in the meantime, he’s been giving confidence to Tottenham Hotspur loanee Djed Spence, who has been impressing in his short time with Genoa after moving to Italy on loan in January. Spence has already made 12 appearances for the Italian side.

Crysencio Summerville took to the comments on Djed Spence’s Instagram post acknowledging his quality with a “My Player” remark.

Genoa have the option to sign Spence on a permanent deal for €10 million, which is below the £12.5 million that Tottenham paid for him in the summer of 2022. He has had his struggles since moving to N17, and it is great to see him enjoying football again.
