Tottenham open to Richarlison sale for squad revamp
Tottenham Hotspur are looking at a mass exodus around the corner following the conclusion of the on-going season, and the North Londoners could sanction the departure of former Everton star Richarlison as they look to raise funds for a squad revamp, per fichajes via The Telegraph.
The Lilywhites signed the Brazilian ace from Premier League side Everton in 2022 for a reported £60 million. While he struggled to find his feet at White Hart Lane, his form has been exquisite since Ange Postecoglou took over the reins at N17. Having found a second wind to his time at Spurs, you’d expect his aura to grow at the club; however, the Australian gaffer could sanction selling the South American star.
Spurs enjoyed a superb start to life under the former Celtic coach, although their recent form has shown the need to change. The Tottenham boss has already indicated a change may come this summer where the club could make multiple moves in both incomings and outgoings.
Unexpected exit? Richarlison impressive form not enough to secure Spurs future
The decision not to sign a Harry Kane replacement left many Tottenham fans worried, but Richarlison stepped up to the occasion to ensure Spurs have a potent number nine. His stats this season look solid and show the influence he has had at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. He has scored eleven goals and further provided four assists in the Premier League in what has been an injury-laden campaign for the former Watford striker.
However, that hasn’t proved enough to convince the boss about his potential to help the club progress into the next stage of the project with him at the top.
Saudi Arabian clubs have raised interest in signing the Brazilian ace, and Tottenham will be open to sanctioning a sale for a significant offer this summer.
