North London united? Arsenal needs Spurs help to clinch Premier League title
Arsenal star Kai Havertz has kept no secrets about his alliances on Tuesday when Tottenham Hotspur faced Manchester City in what could become a title decider if the North Londoners were to take up points from the Cityzens.
It’s not every day that Arsenal fans gun for Spurs and Manchester City fans support Manchester United. However, the title race is shaped as such this time around, where rivals are forced to become foes. While United could not repay the faith of City, can Tottenham bring the Premier League title to North London?
Following Arsenal’s win against the Manchester Reds on Sunday afternoon, Mikel Arteta’s side regained the top position on the Premier League table yet again. However, only for temporary measures, as City have a game due against the Lilywhites to be kicked off on Tuesday. The Gunners earned a title shot on the final matchday, although they rely on Spurs to do them good.
If Tottenham could win against Manchester City, Arsenal will only need to win against Everton at home on the final gameday to clinch the Premier League title, this first in twenty years.
Havertz and Arsenal support Spurs in desperate bid for glory
Despite the North London rivalry, Arsenal striker Kai Havertz insists he will be the “biggest fan of Tottenham ever” for the night as he shows his support for the Whites from North London going into the Tuesday clash.
While speaking with Sky Sports (via. The Mirror) with Leandro Trossard, who scored the winner at Old Trafford, Kai Havertz said:
“I am going to be the biggest fan of Tottenham ever; we are all going to be! So let’s hope for the best.”

While Arsenal aids Tottenham on Tuesday, Spurs have a cause of their own to win. A win against City gives Spurs an opportunity to finish in the top four and attain Champions League qualification for the upcoming campaign. This is an important milestone in Ange’s Spurs project, and that is what the Lilywhites should be thinking about going into the game.
