Alan Brazil calls out Tottenham Hotspur star Pedro Porro
Tottenham Hotspur have made an abundance of progress since Ange Postecoglou took over the reins at White Hart Lane; however, the progression has not been equally marginal among all players, as Alan Brazil expresses his frustration every time he watches Spurs right-back Pedro Porro.
The North Londoners have not kept up the start of the season form over the season marathon, and multiple players have digressed, compounding a disappointing slump. Pedro Porro has been one of those players who has fallen off form.
From Hero to “Porridge” – Alan Brazil slams Porro’s dip in form for Tottenham
The former Sporting Lisbon full-back has been inconsistent in his displays, and former Tottenham forward Alan Brazil speaks about the frustrations he feels every time he watches the 24-year-old play. He speaks about his decision-making, saying that we have seen him make poor choices at both ends.
Speaking to TALKsport following Tottenham’s 2-0 defeat against Manchester City, Alan said:
“That Porro does my head in. I’m not kidding; ‘porridge’ I call him. He does my head in. He is so frustrating; he gets in great positions, and I’m like, ‘What have you done that for?”
His criticisms point toward the right measures. Decision-making is an art, and it is important that all players think in the same direction while occupying spaces they need to occupy and making the right passes. Porro has at times shown inconsistency in doing so, something that could compound for the Spurs when they are playing high-catch games.
