Bryan King calls for Gil’s exit as Tottenham prepare mass exodus
Tottenham Hotspur ace Bryan Gil has been linked with a move away from N17, and former Spurs head scout Bryan King insists that the Spaniard should be the first players out the White Hart Lane gates this summer.
While the arrival of Ange Postecoglou last summer has brought adequate progress to Spurs, there are a couple of players who are struggling to get into his good side and are reportedly not happy with their personal situation. Bryan Gil is one of them.
His situation, complemented by a lack of minutes at N17, has been the core of speculations regarding a permanent transfer away from the Lilywhites in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Penalty miss seals Gil’s fate?
Bryan Gil has already been linked with a move away from North London, so much so that former Tottenham scout Bryan King claims that he should be the first exit of the mass exodus that Spurs are starting this summer. The former Sevilla player has been linked with an exit, as transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealed that he is one of the few players expected to depart White Hart Lane this summer.
The 23-year-old found himself part of the post-season friendly against Newcastle United earlier this week, maybe a final look by Spurs management before departure. He was the only player to miss from the penalty spot after the game ended in a 1-1 draw, and King acknowledges he should be the first one to leave. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, the former Spurs scout said:
“Tottenham have a lot of work to do. It is going to be a busy summer in terms of outgoings, and Gil would be at the at the top of my list to be sold. I would also be looking at getting rid of the likes of Emerson Royal, Yves Bissouma, Giovani Lo Celso, and Richarlison.”
“These are players who would probably interest clubs in Europe and the Premier League.”
