Tottenham are eyeing a move for young winger who was previously offered to them
As reported by The Guardian, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Nottingham Forest winger, Callum Hudson-Odoi. The 23-year-old has made 35 appearances this season recording eight goals and two assists.
Interestingly enough Callum was offered to the Spurs last season. Chelsea believed the player to be surplus to requirements and offered him to the Lilywhites, however, Tottenham had other plans at the time.
His recent performances with Forest have played no small part in changing the Spurs’ view of him. Ange Postecoglou wants to add depth to his squad but above all he wants there to be more quality in his attacking line.
Tottenham’s season might’ve been very different if the Greek Australian manager’s team hadn’t always been depleted because of injuries. To avoid the same scenario next season, the Lilywhites will be looking to pick up a ton of options.
A player like Callum Hudson-Odoi can come into the team and provide competition for a starting spot. The team also has a decision to make regarding the permanent buy option in Timo Werner’s loan deal.
There’s no telling which winger will become a member of the team for next season. However, at this point, we can’t put it past Tottenham to sign both Werner and Hudson-Odoi to add depth and vary their attack even more.
