Guglielmo Vicario backs his struggling teammate at Tottenham Hotspur

Guglielmo Vicario has delivered the verdict on struggling Tottenham star, Radu Dragusin. The 22-year-old was signed for £26.7m back in January this year. However, since his arrival, the Romanian has struggled to get regular minutes.

Dragusin has only made a total of nine appearances resulting in a total of 424 minutes of playing time for the 22-year-old. However, there have been some kind of positive developments as Dragusin got to play the full 90 minutes in Tottenham’s closing games of the season.

Despite his struggles, Guglielmo Vicario has refused to back down from supporting Dragusin. Let’s take a look at the verdict delivered by the Italian while speaking about his Romanian teammate. (h/t Football London)

“Cuti and Micky have played a bit more but then Radu came in in January. He’s a very good lad, he’s tough and he wants to improve. He’s got a good mentality.”

Well, as far as talent goes there is no doing that Radu Dragusin has the potential to be amongst the very best defenders in the world. So, the team just needs to be a little patient with him and give him more time on the pitch.

Vicario stated that each of the center-backs on the team is an outstanding player. Unluckily for Dragusin, Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero are the finished articles and have had more experience in the Greek Australian coach’s system.

However, Ange Postecoglou has made it a point to give more opportunities to young players. So, next season could be the turn of a new leaf for Dragusin.
