Tottenham at risk of losing out €40M rated defender to Napoli
As reported by the print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, Tottenham are at risk of losing out on €40m-rated defender, Allesandro Buongiorno to Napoli. The Serie A side are expected to meet the Italian defender’s agent soon.
Buongiorno has been having a stellar campaign for Torino FC this season and there’s no denying his ability as a defender. The 24-year-old has made 31 appearances recording a total of three goals and one assist for his team.
Buongiorno is an excellent defender and his tall frame of 1.90m allows him to be an aerial threat while also making him ideal for blocking shots. Moreover, the Italian can clog up passing lanes on defence making it difficult for the opposition to penetrate.
His goal contributions show that Alessandro is also a threat in the final third. It’s easy to tell that his game goes beyond just being a defender if you see the 24-year-old distribute the ball out of defence.
However, all these qualities have not gone unnoticed by other teams, and Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, and AC Milan are also said to be interested in the player. But the main threat at this time is Napoli.
Tottenham will have to move fast if they hope to bring Buongiorno in this summer. If the team slacks off there are many suitors who’d be more than happy to intercept and steal Allesandro for themselves.
