Ex-Tottenham boss Mourinho shared his thoughts on his former London clubs in the upcoming campaigns

The former Tottenham Hotspur gaffer, Jose Mourinho, who recently visited Wembley for the Champions League final, commented on Lillywhites’ potential for the upcoming season after he completed his signing as the new tactician for Turkish club Fenerbahçe, per Football. London.

The Portuguese manager, who has exceptional managerial stats with European clubs, was signed by Spurs in November 2019. He kicked off the journey with the Lillywhites with an away win against West Ham. But his era at the N17 ended soon; as Spurs sacked him days before the EFL Cup Final against Manchester City in February 2021. In his 17 months in charge of the club, the Portuguese manager won 27 matches out of 58.

The Australian manager, Ange Postecoglou, is looking forward to continuing his progress with Spurs for the upcoming campaign and got validation from the former manager and two-time European and three-time Premier League-winning tactician. The optimistic words from Mourinho may boost the confidence level of Postecoglou, who is aiming for major changes at the N17 in the summer transfer window.

“They look [to have] stability; they are investing more; they have an amazing club, amazing facilities, and such a beautiful stadium; you can feel it.”

He added about the ‘Tottenham Hotspur stadium’ as one who belonged here, and it clearly shows his love for the club, fans, and Wembley still remains.

It is clear from Mourinho’s words that he thinks the club is on the right path. Getting such praise from a manager who has been here and couldn’t cut it is a positive sign for the club. Let’s hope the club lives up to the Portuguese tactician’s expectations.
