Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski makes displeasure known regarding Australia trip
Dejan Kulusevski revealed that the Tottenham team flew to Australia to face Newcastle, which was a hard call by the club for a training match hours after the last league match with Sheffield United on May 19, according to Fotbollskanalen.
The North Londoners have completed their league match with a 3-0 win over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, finished fifth in the league table, and also confirmed their spot in the upcoming Europa League. Most of the Premier League team dispersed for the international long break, as the Euro and Copa America were going to happen in mid-June.
The Spurs team’s practice match did not go down very well in the squad in Postecoglou’s home country. The Swedish midfielder Dejan Kulusevski made a controversial comment. He is currently in Malmo with the Sweden national team, who are preparing for the European Championship.

It is not fair on the players after such a gruelling season to be expected to travel all the way across the continent to Australia for a post-season friendly. We understand that it is done for commercial purposes but player welfare must take precedence.
If this trend continues, Kulusevski won’t be the only one to step out and talk about it and vocally express his displeasure. Let’s hope the club does not organize such post-season friendlies in upcoming seasons.
