Tottenham expected to start talks for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze
As per Football Transfers, Tottenham Hotspur are expected to initiate discussions for English midfielder Eberechi Eze with Crystal Palace. Premier League top clubs, including Manchester City and Arsenal, have an eye on the 25-year-old to sign on this summer.
Under Aussie coach Ange Postecoglou, Spurs are preparing for the new season by aiming for some silverware to bring to the N17. He is looking for a midfielder to link with James Maddison to play in the midfield position.
Johan Lange, Tottenham’s new technical director, who succeeded Fabio Paratici as the club’s chief recruitment officer, had primary talks with the Crystal Palace midfielder’s representatives.
Eze’s family was also invited by Spurs for the North London Derby, which was a good stride by Spurs. The 25-year-old has gained attention from all the top-tier clubs in Europe, even though Spurs hold a unique upper hand over all other clubs as Eze’s family connections are based in London.
The player who currently joined the England national team for the Euro 2024, has scored 9 goals in his last 12 Premier League matches under Eagle’s new coach, Oliver Glasner, who joined the South London team earlier this year and excelled late in the campaign.

The Australian coach expects Eze to stay with him for the upcoming full-in-charge season with Crystal Palace. According to the price, Spurs should pay €70 m to move across London. Eze is interested in joining the North London side, but he won’t push for a transfer.
Eze expects his side to honour a gentleman’s agreement to allow him to leave this summer. The Lillywhites may not sign the Englishmen for the current price, as they’ll have a negotiation with the Crystal Palace to include Eze in Postecoglou’s new squad.
