Sevilla star Youssef En-Nesyri is open to joining Tottenham this summer
According to a report from Radio Sevilla (h/t Vamos di Sevilla), Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri this summer.
Youssef En-Nesyri, 27, has been one of the most reliable strikers in La Liga over the years. Having risen to prominence with CD Leganes, the Moroccan international has taken his game to the next level with Sevilla, where he has bagged 73 goals in 196 appearances.
The 27-year-old was one of the rare bright sparks in an otherwise disappointing 2023/24 campaign for Sevilla, bagging 20 goals and three assists in 41 outings across all competitions. However, it appears Youssef En-Nesyri may have played his last game in Sevilla colours.
Radio Sevilla (h/t Vamos di Sevilla) reports that Tottenham Hotspur are in advanced talks with Sevilla over a deal worth €25 million for En-Nesyri. The Moroccan striker, after eight years in Spain, is open to joining Spurs.
Sevilla are desperate to raise cash to balance their books and have decided to sell their star striker. Interestingly, the report (h/t Vamos di Sevilla) adds Spurs wanted to involve Bryan Gil as part of the operation but the La Liga side currently prefers money over a swap deal.
En-Nesyri has been a pivotal figure for Sevilla over the years and could prove to be a quality acquisition for Spurs. The north London side have missed a pure No.9 since the departure of mercurial Harry Kane to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023, with manager Ange Postecoglou relying on Son Heung-min, Richarlison, Brennan Johnson and Dejan Kulusevski for goals last season.
As a result, our club wants to sign a centre-forward in this transfer window and have set its sights on the Sevilla star. En-Nesyri’s ability to put the ball in the back of the net will benefit Postecoglou’s side massively, potentially easing the workload from the shoulders of Son and Richarlison.
The Moroccan can also operate in a pair with Son up front, with the former’s aerial ability and hold-up play, and the latter’s intelligent movement behind the defenders combining to great success. With creative minds such as James Maddison and Rodrigo Bentancur behind, En-Nesyri could get lots of chances in the opposition box to score.

En-Nesyri has just one year left on his current deal and Sevilla are under pressure to sell him. The Andalusian side will not want to lose a player of his quality on a free transfer next summer, so it makes sense for them to sell him now while he still has some value. For a striker of the Moroccan’s quality and experience, Spurs wrapping up a deal at around €25million would represent a massive bargain.
