Tottenham star Lo Celso expressed his wish to reunite with his favourite tactician
As per Sport, Giovani Lo Celso is one of the Spurs players who will be sold in the summer transfer, The Argentine midfielder has 12 more months left on his contract with Tottenham.
The 2019/20 season was the first arrival of the Argentine to the N17, in a loan deal from Spanish club Real Betis. Lo Celso’s first season with the club was just a normal one; he hadn’t made any impact on the team. After that season, Tottenham signed him permanently for €32m by believing so much in his potential.
But his performance was not up to the mark, he was sent to Villareal in the second half of the season. He spent the next year and a half playing for the Spanish club. The recurring injuries always haunted him, it also affected his loan spell at Villareal. After the loan period, he returned to North London last summer.
The new Tottenham manager included the player in his initial plans, but he failed to shine again. Of the 22 games he played in the last campaign, he could only start in the four games. He closed his account with two goals and two assists.
The player worn four different jerseys in three different leagues in the last six seasons, he was living from assignment to assignment and transfer to transfer. The injury was a major setback in all the clubs for the player, it kept the player on the touchline for several games in all these leagues. But also, his inconsistency in form has turned into the main reason for Spurs to sell him in the summer.

Unai Emery’s Aston Villa will be the top contender for the Argentine midfielder. Lo Celso has played under the Spaniard at Villareal, and Emery also has an eye on the current Spurs star. Lo Celso can reunite with his favourite gaffer and also get chance to play in Champions League, if everything goes well. The former Spanish club may also have a chance to show interest in him if he gets cheaper.
