Tottenham is in the race with Liverpool to sign the Crystal Palace superstar
Tottenham Hotspur is ready for a transfer battle with Liverpool to secure the services of Premier League superstar Eberechi Eze, who is currently playing for Crystal Palace.
The 25-year-old genius showed promise the previous season, and once Oliver Glasner joined the team in the latter two months of the season, his play significantly improved.
The England international has caught the eye of elite clubs with his outstanding Premier League performance, which led him to score 11 goals and provide four assists in 27 appearances for his club.
According to a report by The Express, the Eagles have no interest in considering bids that fall short of Eze’s release clause and believe that any amount to secure the 25-year-old should be paid in full.
Liverpool wants to activate Eze’s release clause as soon as possible to stave off interest from the title holders. If he makes an impression at the Euros after the England selection, a sum of almost £60 million might turn into a steal.
The Palace player has shown in the past that he can play as a No. 10 and on either side, and Ange Postecoglou will probably find his versatility highly appealing because the Australian is eager to expand his choices and depth in the final third.
The Spurs might have an edge, though, as they have a safe place according to the PSR regulations and they could certainly make a move for the star attacker without having to bring any extra cash.
