Atletico Madrid keen as Tottenham plan to part ways with Giovani Lo Celso
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso has been linked with a North London exit in the upcoming summer transfer window, with multiple suitors lining up interests in the Argentine maestro including Atletico Madrid.
The Copa America winner signed for Spurs in the summer of 2019 from Real Betis for a club-record-equaling fee of €60 million (£55.3 million); however, things have not worked out for all parties, and it looks like the former PSG midfielder could call curtains on his time in the N17.
When Ange Postecoglou came through the doors at White Hart Lane, a set of Spurs supporters felt that the Argentine could still have a future at the club and that he could turn things around. However, the 28-year-old has found minutes hard to come by under the Australian gaffer after aggregating only 24 appearances in all competitions in the recently concluded campaign, registering two goals and two assists.

The North Londoners are preparing for Ange to oversee a massive overhaul in the off-season, and the club will be looking to move on from the Rosario-born midfielder this summer. The 28-year-old has just one year left on his current deal at N17, and the Lilywhites will be looking to move on from Gio rather than risking losing him on a free transfer next summer.
Spanish side Real Betis have been subject to high links to reunite with Gio; however, it would not be an easy task, as alongside Betis, their League rivals Atletico Madrid have expressed interest in signing Lo Celso this summer, per Fichajes.
Atletico Madird are looking to sign a new midfielder this summer, and apparently they have identified the 28-year-old, who fits into Diego Simeone’s style of play and is available in a reasonable price range.
