Postecoglou begins the revamp process in N17
According to Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is preparing for a move to Spanish club Atletico Madrid. Diego Simeone can sign the midfielder this summer, where he failed in the last attempt.
The Spurs fans are shocked after seeing the new changes taking place at the club under manager Ange Postecoglou. Hojbjerg was a constant name in the starting eleven of Spurs last season.
But the Dane wasn’t included in Postecoglou’s new plan for Spurs. Hojbjerg has appeared in 36 games for the Lillywhites in the Premier League 2023/24 season.
He has one more year left on his contract with Spurs. Now Spurs have decided to sell the player in the summer as part of their revamping process at the club. Selling the player will be an easy job for the North London club, as clubs like Atletico Madrid, Fulham, Juventus, and Napoli have an eye on the Dane midfielder.
Among these clubs, Simeone’s Atletico Madrid has the highest chance to bag the player, their last bid for the Hojbjerg in the 2023 summer ended in disappointment. Also, they are currently looking for a number of players in the transfer market to prepare for the new campaign.
Hojbjerg is one of the main targets for Simeone, where they lack a holding midfielder in the squad, He also has the quality to adapt to Argentine’s tactics in Madrid.

The player is currently included in the Denmark Euro squad. Spurs can get a good price for the midfielder as a transfer fee, which will help to get Postecoglou’s target in the summer transfer. As per the new plans of the manager, we can see a number of new heads in N17, who can be the favourites of North Londoners.
