Crystal Palace star Eze attracts interest from Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur FC have expressed interest in landing Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze in the upcoming summer transfer window as they look to bolster their squad in the off-season.
Daniel Levy would be hoping to use the off-season to build up on the progress that the Lilywhites have made under Ange Postecoglou since he took over the reins at N17 last summer. This summer is about signing highly regarded prospects with high ceilings that can help the club raise the potential of the roster.
Creativity cure?
Spurs interest in Eze comes on the back of an excellent season at Selhurst Park, as his reputation has enhanced with an England call-up for the upcoming European Championships in Germany. Irrespective of his recent success, the club has had interest in his signatures for a long time, and they would be looking to fortify their interest in striking a deal with Crystal Palace for a move this summer.
However, while Tottenham look to seal the 25-year-old’s future at White Hart Lane, Premier League rivals Manchester United have expressed interest in landing him this summer. The Manchester Reds are “very much in the race” to land the midfield maestro, per Football Insider.
There is a belief that the Arsenal academy graduate midfielder is high on the INEOS list for a summer recruitment at Old Trafford.
Both sides are in dire need of someone with Eze’s capabilities in the middle of the park. While Bruno has been criticized for his always-try-for-glory approach, having a dribbler with Paulus can help on the creative side of things at United.
While Ange and Tottenham have seen an inconsistent side of James Maddison due to his injury history, which limits his impact on the team, adding Eze to the roster could provide much-needed creativity and stability in the midfield, addressing these concerns and helping Spurs overall play.
