Mourinho targets Tottenham duo Hojbjerg and Son for Fenerbahce revolution
Tottenham Hotspur FC midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane this summer as former Spurs manager Jose Mourinho is keen on a reunion in Turkey. The Portuguese head coach will take charge of Fenerbahce in the following season and he is looking to assemble a dream team to take on the Turkish league by storm.
With the presidential elections at Fenerbahce done and Ali Koç retaining his position, the focus at the club new shifts to new acquisitions as they look to leverage Mourinho’s name into some high profile singings. The former Lilywhites boss has requested two of his former players at White Hart Lane in exit-bound Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and a surprise move for Spurs skipper Son Heung-Min, per TurkiyeGazetesi.
Double raid?
Jose Mourinho managed Spurs from 2019 to 2021 and wants to bring Hojbjerg to his roster. The Dane midfielder already has suitors in Napoli and Atletico Madrid, however, many think that he would take up an opportunity to reunite with the former Real Madrid boss over a move to European giants. Fenerbahce’s sporting director Mario Branco has already established talks with Tottenham as the Turkish club looks to complete his signing.
Fenerbahce’s President Ali Koc is also set to travel to White Hart Lane to conclude negotiations for Euro bound Danish star.
