Tottenham outcast Djed Spence braced for Genoa switch
Tottenham Hotspur FC have been speaking with Italian giants Genoa about a possible deal for Djed Spence for a while now, with the talks recognized to be advanced at the time of writing.
Following the North Londoners exemplary season, the club is looking to progress on the base that they built under Ange Postecoglou in the recently concluded campaign, and Daniel Levy will be looking to fortify interests in marquee signings that help raise the ceiling of the squad at the Australian’s disposal.
Although before any incomes, the Lilywhites would be looking at mass exodus as they would be looking at a summer clear out of players surplus to current needs, and Djed Spence is set to be the first player off the White Hart Lane doors this summer.
Clear-out begins
The 23-year-old has been struggling at Tottenham since his move to the N17 from Middlesbrough and has made just six appearances for Spurs before being shipped off the squad on three temporary spells away from the club. Last of which came in a successful spell at Genoa in the second half of last season, and now transfer guru Fabrizio Romano states that there is pace gathering to a permanent move away.
The Italian took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Thursday night to say: “Understand Genoa have sent a formal bid to Tottenham to sign Djed Spence. Negotiations are ongoing between clubs, now up to Spurs, with a final decision to follow soon.”

Spence is an unbelievable talent who has struggled with confidence and pressure since his move to Spurs, and a move away where he can work on himself away from the limelight should do him good and benefits his development in the long run.
