En-Nesyri to N17? Robinson backs move for Sevilla striker
Tottenham Hotspur FC are in dire need of a new striker this summer, and the club has been linked with a plethora of centre-forwards for a possible move to White Hart Lane. One of those players linked with a N17 move is Sevilla ace Youssef En-Nesyri.
Former Lilywhites goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes that the Moroccan ace would seamlessly fit into Ange Postecoglou’s style of play next season.
Spurs are subject to advance talks with the La Liga centre-forward for a possible move in the summer transfer window, per Vamos Mi Sevilla. The report claims that Sevilla have set a £21.2 million price tag for the 27-year-old, who are ready to sell their star player despite him notching 20 goals in all competitions in the recently concluded campaign.
Youssef En-Nesyri’s current employers take this stance owing to the financial situation, which forces them to sell, and Tottenham are set to take advantage of that this summer.
Can En-Nesyri fill Kane’s boots at Tottenham? Robinson thinks so
Robinson has been full of praise for the Moroccan, who has been linked with a move to Spurs. He acknowledges his intelligence and consistency of goals to make a bid to acquire the striker.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, the former goalkeeper said:
“He’s a good player; I like him. He’s played at the top level, scored goals, and proven himself at the international level and in La Liga. He’s led the line well for Sevilla and plays the way that Ange Postecoglou wants to play—on the front foot and with hard yards.
“He’ll flourish in the Premier League. It’s the type of league that he will enjoy; he’ll score goals, and he’s a player that I like. He makes very good runs, he’s intelligent, and he’s of an age now where he’s scoring goals regularly and has proven himself at the top level.“
En-Nesyri has experience on his shoulders, which can help the club replace the consistency of Harry Kane in the Spurs offensive line.
