According to Turkish outlet Aspor, Turkish giants Galatasaray are looking to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur this summer. The team hopes that their captain, Fernando Muslera, will be able to convince Bentancur to make the move.
Bentancur went through a tough spell last season, missing 16 games due to two separate injuries. He ended up making just 25 appearances for Ange Postecoglou, managing to record a goal and an assist during that time.
Given his limited impact on the season and the recent controversy involving Son Heung-min, it isn’t surprising that the Lilywhites might be willing to let go of Bentancur this summer. Muslera’s influence could indeed be a decisive factor in making Galatasaray’s dream of signing the 27-year-old come true.
