Opinion: How Manchester United star's shock U-turn could scupper Tottenham Hotspur's plans for Federico Chiesa

Spurs target Chiesa as Juventus juggles forwards

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa as they look to complete one of the bargain signings in the ongoing summer transfer window.

The North Londoners have already made a bright start to the transfer window after having already sealed the arrivals of Archie Gray from Leeds United and Lucas Bergvall joining from Djurgarden, alongside the return of Timo Werner

Daniel Levy and Ange Postecoglou are now targeting an addition to the forward line, with the Italian winger at the top of the list. The Lilywhites have been linked with Crystal Palace winger Eberechi Eze, and they are now speculated to make an approach for Juventus’ Chiesa.

Tutto Juve claims that the 26-year-old’s future at the Turin-based club has become ‘increasingly distant’ and a move away is far more likely.

However, Spurs’ interest in landing Federico Chiesa could soon be scuppered.

Transfer dominoes fall

News coming out of Manchester suggests that Erik ten Hag and Jadon Sancho have decided to bury the hatchet and move on from their feud. This opens up possibilities for the former Dortmund winger to get space and time to find his feet at Old Trafford.

Although this could come as a big blow for Juventus and could have a domino effect on Tottenham.

Juve have been linked with a move for Jadon Sancho, as they were looking to capitalize on his situation at Manchester United. The England international was tagged to arrive as a potential replacement for Tottenham-bound Federico Chiesa.

Although the transfer triangle suddenly looms, it is unlikely after Sancho was spotted training at Carrington.

Now, Spurs could miss out on a deal for the Italian forward unless Juventus can find a potential replacement for the winger. It is to be seen how the proceedings move on from here, with both clubs navigating the sudden developments of the transfer market.
