Moore poised for a breakout season at Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur will enter the new season with high hopes as they look to build on the success that the team enjoyed last season. The North Londoners are preparing to hand significant opportunities to Tottenham Hotspur academy graduate Mikey Moore.
Spurs correspondent Alasdair Gold, in the latest episode of Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast, suggests that the 16-year-old is highly acclaimed behind the scenes at N17, and he would be set to play more prominently than budgeted.
This will come as news of excitement for the Lilywhites faithful, as they will be hyped to see Moore in the men’s setup and watch him take on the senior game.
The journalist says that the insiders at the club have repeatedly highlighted Moore’s potential and the fact that he could feature more prominently next season.
This shows that the officials in the cubicles of White Hart Lane are confident in the teenager’s abilities and ceiling, complemented by his readiness to appear on the senior team.
Moore than expected
Moore became Tottenham Hotspur’s youngest-ever Premier League debutant following his appearance against Manchester City in May this year. And he has continued to impress everyone at the club.
He has continued to shine in appearances in the academy squads, which has earned him a fast track into the senior side.
Alasdair Gold stated about the English teenager:
“Mikey Moore is getting a goal, which is no bad thing whatsoever. I keep getting told that he’s going to get more minutes than we actually expect this season, which is great. He’ll be a young player and a very talented one at that as well.”
Moore has been linked with a move to Manchester City this summer, although it looks very likely that he will continue at Tottenham.
