Real Madrid has shown interest in Tottenham academy product Mikey Moore
Tottenham Hotspur insider John Wenham has confirmed that academy product Mikey Moore has already signed his contract with Spurs. The Spurs U18 star has also linked with European Champions Real Madrid in the summer.
The Tottenham academy product has created shock waves with the youth teams in the past two years. He has impressed the North London club with his insane speed on the flank and clinical finishing. The 16-year-old has already made it into the senior team in the last campaign under Argentine manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The England U17 international has established himself as the best winger in the youth club with his two-year journey at N17. Moore, who had an outstanding record of 14 goals and eight assists in just 12 U18 Premier League games last season, would be a future asset for the North London club.
Amidst the interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid, Spurs insider John Wenham has come up with happy news for the Tottenham fans. He has confirmed that the young prodigy has already signed his professional contract with the club and official news will be announced in the coming weeks.
“There seems to be a lot of speculation around Moore, From what I’ve been told he has already signed a professional contract to remain with Tottenham, and that will become official after his 17th birthday on 11 August. Therefore, we will have to wait and see what happens with that. However, it doesn’t look as if he will be going anywhere.”
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, said to Tottenham Hotspur News.
Spurs future starlet
He is already well-known for his performance with the Spurs youth team and with his Premier League appearance in the last season, he became the youngest Tottenham player to play in the Premier League at the age of 16 years and 277 days, surpassing Dane Scarlett’s record.
Currently, Tottenham have their captain Son Heung-min who prefers playing on the left side of the attack. The 32-year-old might not have many years left at the top of the game. So the North London club should find a replacement in the left flank and Moore can be the perfect fit for the position as he holds incredible records with the youth team.
The offer from the Spanish giants may tempt the youngster, but he would choose the boyhood club over the European champions as he has an emotional connection with the North London club.
Moore has to give out his best in the pre-season match to impress the manager Ange Postecoglou, the Aussie tactician will have his final word on the youngster after the assessment in the pre-season tour.
