Aston Villa eye Dejan Kulusevski amid Tottenham Hotspur summer exodus
Multiple Tottenham Hotspur players have been linked with a White Hart Lane exit this summer as the North Londoners look for a mass exodus this summer; however, Aston Villa have made a surprise inquiry to land Swede forward Dejan Kulusevski, per Football transfers.
The interest from Unai Emery’s side comes following Tottenham’s sporting director, Johan Lange, initiating discussions with Wolverhampton Wanderers over signing Portuguese international Pedro Neto. The 24-year-old has been linked with a Molineux exit this summer, and he may take Kulusevski’s place at Hotspur Way.
However, the Swedish international, who moved to White Hart Lane only last summer, has a contract with the club until 2028. His strong performances at Spurs have drawn interest from Villa, who themselves are looking to replace winger Moussa Diaby, who has been linked with a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad.
Kulusevski key to Spurs’ plans despite Aston Villa interest
Kulusevski is an integral presence at N17; he not only takes on the responsibilities on the right wing but is also an excellent option in the middle. He played in the latter role when James Maddison was injured and ensured that he took on the creative burden of the team. His knack for taking on creative responsibilities and involvement in the build-up play makes him suitable to play an essential role under Ange Postecoglou’s tutelage.
While his contributions in the last season were not up to his mark, Dejan still contributed eight goals and provided three assists in 36 Premier League appearances.

It is highly unlikely as of now that Tottenham will sell Dejan Kulusevski this summer, although any potential acquisition of Pedro Neto or any other high-potential winger may force the North Londoners to consider his sale.
