Tottenham Hotspur urged to be wary of Carlos Alcaraz’s injury issues
Tottenham Hotspur have been eyeing some bargain deals this summer, and the North Londoners have been eyeing Southampton star Carlos Alcaraz in the ongoing window.
While the North Londoners contemplate whether to move for the South American midfielder, injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar suggests that there may be a problem with a lack of game time under his belt that can lead to injury concerns.
The injury expert insists that while the 2002-born midfielder suffered from a hamstring injury in the last season, the central problem plus be him not getting regular minutes under his belt after having been loaned out to Juventus.
This comes on the basis of reports per Tutto Juve journalist Mirko Di Natale, who claims that Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have made contacts with the 21-year-old ace’s current employers to inquire about a potential summer move.
Medical expert weighs in
“He had a hamstring injury which saw him miss three games last season and he was out for three weeks. Doesn’t seem all that serious based on the days missed.
“The lack of consistent game time can be an issue because he’s not used to consistent minutes so he would need adaptation time to acclimate to that.“
While the North Londoners have been looking to snap up high-potential young players this summer, a move for the Southampton midfielder comes with one risk too many.
His performances in Italy and Spain have been inconsistent as well. Spurs have signed a lot of project players; the club needs to also ensure that they sign level-raisers, and he doesn’t look so at the moment.
