South Korean wonderkid shows Spurs what they’re getting
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly on the verge of securing the services of South Korean prodigy Min-hyuk Yang from Gangwon FC, and the 18-year-old showed his talent just days after the news of the Spurs transfer broke.
Min-Hyuk Yang has been one of the bright prospects in Asian football, and the North Londoners will strengthen their presence in the Asian market with another aspiring player. A move for Yang shows how Spurs are compounding on their transfer policy to land high-potential youngsters who can play at the highest levels. This way, Ange Postecoglou has the opportunity to shape them as per his philosophies and playing style.
Yang’s goal seals excitement for Tottenham fans
Fabrizio Romano gave the signing the go-ahead with his infamous, ‘here we go’ deal of approval while football. London journalist Alasdair Gold revealed that the teenager will move to London in the upcoming January.
Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou was recently quizzed about Yang and his potential move to North London, to which the Australian boss gave a diplomatic response. He said (Football. London): “I’m well aware of the quality of the K League. When I was at Celtic we were looking to bring over a couple of Korean players.
“They have made a fantastic impact across Europe, none bigger than our Sonny. He’s an outstanding individual. So yes, we’ll be looking far and wide for players. As you said, it’s difficult for me to discuss (grins).“
And for Tottenham fans who were wondering about the potential of the kid, the 18-year-old has delivered it on a platter today.
He received the ball on the edge of the box, took a prestige touch to set the ball past his man, and fired it home in the top corner. The writing would not be a fair depiction of the goal itself.
