Romano rules out Chiesa transfer
Tottenham Hotspur have been subject to links with Juventus winger Federico Chiesa in the rumour mill as the North Londoners look to compound their offensive roster in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Chiesa’s future at the Turin-based club has been uncertain for some time now, and the Italian international was training on his own following a delayed holiday owing to his participation in the European Championship for the majority of the summer.
Tottenham’s forward search continues without Chiesa
The 26-year-old enjoyed a brilliant start to his career at Juve, although he didn’t keep up to the standards owing to his consistent injury problems. We haven’t seen the best of his abilities for a while now, and while the new Juventus manager would love to have Federico Chiesa around, the Italian giants are unwilling to meet players’ demands, and the only option, for now, is a potential departure.
Tottenham are willing to take advantage of the market situation and land him on a bargain fee—at least that’s what ample papers reported. However, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano insists that Spurs are not interested in signing the Juventus winger.
The club has made no contact with Juventus for a potential deal for Chiesa.
However, Romano did state that Daniel Levy wants to bring at least one forward this summer transfer window, albeit that doesn’t appear to be Federico Chiesa.

With Chiesa out of the way, Eze could be an interesting option that Tottenham could consider for the wide-forward role. However, it is to be seen what the club thinks and prioritizes in the latter stages of the window.
